Included Services
The Bookkeeping Blitz is a focused QuickBooks Online cleanup and optimization engagement designed to improve the accuracy, organization, and usability of your QuickBooks Online file.
Services provided depend on the Blitz level selected and may include:
- Review of your existing QuickBooks Online setup and file structure
- Identification of bookkeeping issues that may be creating confusion, inefficiency, or inaccurate reporting
- Cleanup and organization of selected QuickBooks lists, accounts, and transactions
- Bank-feed review and troubleshooting where supported by available financial institution connections
- Review of existing bank rules and categorization settings
- Correction of obvious duplicate, uncategorized, or improperly categorized transactions
- Recommendations for improved bookkeeping workflows and procedures
- Reporting, visibility, training, or support services included within the selected Blitz level
Bookkeeping Blitz engagements are performed on a reasonable-efforts basis using the information available within QuickBooks Online and any supporting information provided by the client.
The objective is improved clarity, accuracy, and confidence — not perfection. Historical bookkeeping issues, missing documentation, and prior accounting decisions may limit the extent of corrections that can reasonably be completed within the engagement scope.
Client Responsibilities
Successful completion of a Bookkeeping Blitz engagement requires timely client participation and cooperation.
The client agrees to:
- Provide QuickBooks Online Accountant access at the start of the engagement.
- Provide access credentials, permissions, or authorization necessary to reconnect supported bank and credit-card feeds
- Provide requested documentation, statements, reports, and supporting information in a timely manner
- Respond reasonably to questions, clarification requests, and QuickBooks tasks generated during the cleanup process
- Review and approve recommendations when client decisions are required
- Verify the accuracy of information supplied to support cleanup activities
Certain cleanup activities may require client review, decisions, approvals, or responses before work can continue.
Project timelines assume reasonable client participation. Delays in providing access, documentation, approvals, or responses may delay project completion and may require rescheduling.
If bank-feed connections cannot be set up or restored through standard QuickBooks Online connection methods, statement-based transaction entry or reconstruction services may be available at additional cost.
The client remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all source information provided.
Exclusions
Unless specifically included in a written proposal, addendum, or separately approved engagement, the following services are excluded from standard Bookkeeping Blitz engagements:
- Payroll setup, payroll corrections, payroll tax filings, or payroll compliance work
- Inventory tracking, inventory valuation, or inventory reconstruction
- Tax preparation, tax filing, tax planning, or tax advice
- Legal advice or legal document preparation
- Fixed asset schedules or depreciation calculations
- Multi-year historical bookkeeping reconstruction projects
- Correction of prior-year accounting records solely to match previously filed tax returns
- Extensive forensic accounting investigations
- Reconstruction of undocumented owner loans, shareholder loans, or equity transactions
- Business valuations or formal financial due-diligence engagements
- Extensive correction of long-term personal and business expense commingling
- Third-party software implementation, migration, or integration projects
- Custom reporting, training, consulting, or advisory services not specifically included in the selected Blitz level
Identification of an issue does not automatically mean correction of that issue is included within the engagement scope.
When excluded issues are discovered, they may be discussed and quoted separately if appropriate.
Scope Expansion
Sometimes a Bookkeeping Blitz review uncovers issues that are significantly larger, older, or more complex than originally apparent.
Examples may include:
- Extensive duplicate transactions
- Large volumes of uncategorized transactions
- Multiple years of unresolved bookkeeping issues
- Significant personal and business expense commingling
- Broken beginning balances
- Inventory-related problems
- Payroll-related problems
- Multi-entity accounting issues
- Historical account restructuring
- Missing documentation
If previously unknown conditions materially increase the amount of work required, Nick may recommend a scope adjustment, change order, or separate engagement.
No additional work will be performed without client approval.
Any additional fees, timelines, or deliverables will be presented before the additional work begins.
Engagement Approval & Payment Terms
During the QBO Blitz Readiness Review, the condition of your QuickBooks Online file, the nature of the cleanup required, and the estimated level of effort are discussed and evaluated.
Based on that review, a recommended Bookkeeping Blitz level may be presented. The recommendation is intended to align the scope of work with the issues identified during the review process.
If you choose to proceed, services will be performed according to the scope of the purchased Blitz level and will be subject to all terms and conditions described on this page.
Because the QBO Blitz Readiness Review is specifically designed to evaluate and define the work required before engagement begins, all Bookkeeping Blitz purchases are final and non-refundable once payment has been submitted and scheduling, preparation, or cleanup activities have commenced.
In some situations, previously unknown conditions may be discovered after work begins. If those conditions materially increase the amount of work required beyond the purchased Blitz level, any recommended scope expansion will be discussed with you before additional work is performed.
Any approved scope expansion will be defined separately from the purchased Blitz level, priced separately, and paid in advance before additional work begins.
